New Blog Design and Life Happenings

Wow! A lot has been happening that I need to blog about. I really want to get back into blogging this summer. I sure miss it! Anywhooo. I need a new blog design and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for someone to help me with this? I would love to do it my own, but I just can't take the time to learn how to do it, nor do I have the patience for it right now. So, recommendations are welcomed!

This is what I'm thinking of for my new blog header. What do you think?

Booger graduated from VPK on Friday. I can't believe he is done with preschool and will be starting kindergarten in the fall. How did my baby get so big???

I only have 5 days left of school with the kids and 7 total until summer. I am ready to spend some quality time with my kiddos and to get back into the gym. I can't believe this school year is almost over. On one hand I'm happy about it because this school year has been super stressful with all of the extra responsibilities that were added to my plate, but on the other, I need like one more month to get everything done and help get more kids out of summer school. Too many are waiting until the last minute to finally get into gear.

I tried Jamberry for the first time tonight. I'm pretty impressed with it so far. What will be a huge seller for me is if they last longer than regular nail polish like they say they will. I love all of their designs and think I would use them a lot more than I would use regular nail polish.

I don't know if you can see it, but my middle finger is the one with the Jamberry on its nail. What do you think?

Well, I'm off. Time for bed. I have to finish cleaning the house and getting ready to celebrate Booger's birthday with family tomorrow. Hard to believe he will be 5 on Monday. Seriously?!?!? 5!!!! I can't believe I'M old enough to be the mother of a 5 year old.

Have a great Saturday night!!!!!

New Blog Name and suggestions

Happy Monday ya'll. Well I have decided my little blog has taken a different turn. My husband is still in the Army Reserves, but I feel that I'm not talking military as much anymore. So I am thinking of changing the name of my blog and doing a new design. I'm thinking of calling this Kat's Korner, but if anyone else has any suggestions, I'm open to any and all.
I will let you all know as soon as I make my decision and I hope I don't lose my few faithful readers with this transition. I am hoping to start blogging some more, especially about my kids and what's going on in our lives lately. Thank you all for being so patient with me. I will be back to blogging more frequently soon.

Don't forget to send me any blog name suggestions you have :) Thank you in advance!

Hello everyone! I thought I would stop in and give a little update. Things have not been good on the home front. Actually things are very bad and I'm not sure if we can recover from them. I want to, desperately, but who knows at this point. I just feel like we keep getting kicked over and over again.

I've obviously fallen off the bandwagon for Project 365 and I'm upset about that. I have a few more posts to do with the pictures I have taken. Maybe I will try again next year.

I am also looking for a new blog name. I will be getting away from the military life writing and would like to take this a more personal route. I am open to any and all suggestions.

I am hoping one day I will be able to say everything is great and it worked out the way it was supposed to, but right now I just feel lost, alone and overwhelmed.

Thank goodness for the end of the school year which is fast approaching! My civics students are getting ready to take their end of course exam, which this is the first year the score will be counting for or against the students and myself. I'm REALLY nervous! I hope they will do ok, but seeing as we have no real guidelines on what will be on the assessment, I have a hard time feeling like my students are prepared. Plus the amount of information we have to cover in the school year is just ridiculous.

With the end of the school year also comes a mad rush for my course recovery kids. Most are working to pass onto the next grade and most have really lite a fire under their butts. Unfortunately not all have and some are in danger of repeating the same grade again next year, that summer school won't help them. It's really stressful this time of year for me. I am constantly watching and prodding and pushing them. It makes for long days at work and even longer days at home at night. I'm ready for a break.

I NEED a break! I need to focus on me and what makes me happy. I have lost myself and I need to find her. I can't make others happy without me being happy first and loving myself. Which I don't at the moment.

Sorry for the vagueness. I wish I could go more into detail, but I'm just not ready yet, which is why the blog has been so silent.

So, I hope you will all bear with me during this time and I hope that I won't lose too many of you due to my silence.

Happy Monday y'all!!!!!
