New Love for Miranda Lambert

So I have recently found out how much I am starting to love Miranda Lambert. Not in a creepy way. Just in a way in which what ever mood I am in, she has a song to go with it. I have been down lately and she seems to have a song for everything. From the very best moods, to loving my husband moods, to I want to forget everything moods.
Thankfully our munchkins give me a purpose to get out of bed every day.

Do you listen to Miranda? Do you have a favorite go-to artist?

Have a great day!

Country Line Dancing-Love it!

I never thought I would enjoy line dancing. I love to dance and shake my butt, but never really got into line dancing....until now. We have a fairly new country bar in Sarasota called the White Buffalo Saloon, and I love it! There is no smoking inside and everyone is there to dance and have a good time. Two of my friends and I have started going to the free dance lessons on Thursday nights. We've done two and have had a great time each time we go.

One of my favorite dances that I'm trying to learn is the Cleveland Shuffle. I finally got the hang of it last night :)

This is the a video of the actual lesson. It's lots of fun. I have a TON of more dances to learn. Our goal is to know enough dances to dance for an hour straight. Lofty? Maybe, but it's a good goal I think. Not to mention this place has THE best moonshine ever! One drink and you're good to go. :)

This has been so much fun, I even went out and purchased my very own cowboy boots. So, much easier to dance in then flip flops.  I like them, but I think the next pair I get will be square or rounded toe instead of the pointed toe. (but they were on sale and who can pass up a good sale?)

I wish I would have taken a pic of me all dressed up, but I didn't. I forgot. (oops. bad blogger)

Overall it has been a lot of fun! What is even better is you don't have to have a guy to dance with! You can have an amazing time with your girlfriends. :)
We won't be attending this upcoming Thursday due to one of us being out of town and my daddy is coming to visit! I'm so excited!!!!! So, I have a good excuse to miss one. :)

Happy Birthday Hubby!

Today is my husband's birthday. He has finally caught up to me :) (I'm 8 months older than him, a fact he never lets me forget)
So, happy birthday M! I know we have had some major ups and downs, but I hope you have an absolutely amazing day.
Hopefully one year the Army will allow you to be home on your actual birthday. (I think it's been about 3-4 years since he's been home for his birthday)
Seeing as he couldn't be with us today, I had the kids make a quick video saying happy birthday to him and it turned out super cute! (just please ignore the state in which they are dressed, we are just hanging out at home today)

I was able to get part of his present delivered before he left. I got him Poopourri :) Have you seen the commercial for this yet? He found this hilarious and I just couldn't resist getting it for him.

The rest of his present is on its way as we speak and he will just have to open it when he gets home. :)

Happy Birthday M! Have a great day! Here's to you and turning 31!!!!!!

Booger's 5th Birthday

Pretty girl went to bed early tonight and Booger is watching Transformers, so I thought this was a great time to update everyone on how his birthday went. I'm only about a month and a half late. Oops!

This year Booger was lucky enough to have his birthday on a holiday weekend, he ended up celebrating his birthday all weekend long.
Saturday my mom took him to Chick Fil A for lunch and to play in their play area. He then went back to her house and swam in the pool. He loved that he got all of Grandma's attention on him. She then had cake for him after swimming.

On Sunday May 25th we celebrated Booger's 5th birthday with M's side of the family. His birthday wasn't until the 26th, but I wanted him to have a day at home to play with his new toys. He really loved having family over and having all of the attention on him.

Booger was set on having an "Autobot" cake. Thankfully Publix came through and had one. Whew! I think it turned out pretty cute. :)

We kept it low key and had only family over. I think that's the best way right now. When he gets into elementary school we will worry about having a friend birthday party in addition to our family party. Growing up we always celebrated with family on my actual birthday and then I would have my friend birthday either the weekend before or after, depending on our schedule. I would like to continue that for both of our kids if we can.

Booger was again spoiled for his birthday. He received a few new Transformers (thankfully these ones are easier for him to transform, so I don't have to do the work), a few Despicable Me toys and the highlight was his new Transformers fishing pole and tackle box. He was VERY excited for the fishing pole. Now him and daddy can go fishing at Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa's house.

Awesome new fishing pole

New Super Soaker gun for the beach

Pretty Girl had to help him blow out his candles

Overall it was a great day for him. I love that we have family to celebrate with him. He had a weekend full of celebrating him and he loved every minute of it!

Booger's Pre-School Graduation

On May 23, 2014 Booger graduated from pre-school. I cannot believe our son is old enough to be graduating VPK.

I decided to take the morning off work that day. I knew this was something I couldn't miss. That morning I realized I hadn't bought Booger a nice outfit to wear that day. Epic mom fail. :( So, off we went to Walmart. We picked out an outfit for him and also picked up the fruit we signed up to bring. Gotta love when you can kill two birds with one stone. I then dropped the kids off at pre-school and went home to get ready.
They started the ceremony at 11am. M and I arrived and waited for the festivities to start.

Each child came out. It was really cute to watch them all walk out and basically have no idea where they are supposed to go, even though I know they practiced many times.

Our Booger!!!!

He found us in the crowd

Then after each came out, they did their morning songs. It was really cute. Afterwards they each came out dressed as what they wanted to be when they grew up.

Most of the boys said they wanted to be a firefighter and most of the girls decided they wanted to be a singer. :) It was really cute!

Overall it was a great day! I didn't shed any tears, but I am sure I will once he starts Kindergarten. After Booger's graduation, M and I grabbed lunch together and then it was time for both of us to get back to work.

I still cannot believe I am old enough to have a son starting Kindergarten in August.
