5 for Friday

It's Friday again! Woo hoo! So let's do a 5 for Friday :)

1. Florida, you can stop raining and warm up any day now. We are running out of warm clothes to wear and I'm getting tired of getting wet every time I step outside. Plus my kids NEED to play outside at preschool. It's a must for their sanity, mine and their teachers. K? Thanks!

2. Students, stop failing. Please! My classes are full again and it makes for a very long, and busy day. I'm ready to move on.

4. I need to find new ways to get new clients for my Origami Owl business. This month has been dead and I would love for it to pick back up. Any suggestions?

5. I'm so glad I don't live in Michigan anymore. They are getting a horrible winter this year and I'm not sad I'm not there. I would love to be with my family, but not in that kind of weather. Hopefully they will have a nice summer and we can go up then :)

Have a great Friday ya'll!!!!!!

Project 365 Days 9-15

Here is my 2nd post for Project 365: January 9-16th.

Day 9
I received this as a present from our family friend for watching his dog over the summer. I am such a HUGE fan of this show and am soooooo very excited to watch this from the beginning to the end.

Day 10
We went over to my in-laws for dinner and cards this day. We gave our kids showers and put them in PJs before we went over. Pretty Girl was more than happy to pose for a pic with her mommy :)

Day 11
We went to spend time at my mom's house and Booger cannot leave the house without at least one Transformer in hand

Day 12
Running errands. Pretty girl is always up for going with mommy or daddy

Day 13
Currently reading. Love her series and so far this one is really good as well :)

Day 14
For some reason both kids were willing to pose for a pic this morning. Not sure if it was the hot coco waiting for them or the early bed time they had last night. What ever the reason, I'll take it. :)

Day 15
Finally bought this movie! Saw in the theater and loved it. Read the book and wasn't as impressed with the book.

Woo hoo for getting two weeks done :) Have a terrific Thursday!

Project 365 Week 1 Jan 1-8

I think I am going to jump on the bandwagon and do a Project 365 this year. I feel like I have nothing positive or anything interesting to say, so this I feel will fill in the gaps hopefully. Plus Whitney made it sound so easy :) I hope you enjoy!!!!

So without further ado..... here is my first week :)

Day 1
Watching movies with my babies! I love watching movies with them.

Day 2
These beautiful lockets are finally available to order. Aren't they pretty?

Day 3
Went to Melting Pot to celebrate my Biffle getting married in two weeks! Plus yummy dinner!!

Day 4
I decided I'm going to try this, this year. How fun to think of what to do with the money at the end of the year?? The possibilities are endless.

Day 5
These emails make me sooo happy! Who knew someone would actually want to pay for what I create for my classroom???

Day 6
This is what my computer looks like when I take attendance. See how many courses I'm in charge of??? It's all because I have 3 course recovery classes. :(

Day 7
Burrrr!!!! It is COLD outside! I know a lot of you live in the North East and are dealing with colder temps, but for Florida, this is just downright freezing!

Day 8
We went with M to one of Venice High's wrestling meets. The kids enjoyed playing on the bleachers and I was left chasing them around.

Give A Way Winner

I am happy to announce my first winner of the first give a way! (even though my rafflecopter didn't want to work :( )

Drum roll please!!!!!!

The winner is.............SHANNON!!!!!

Woo hoo!

Thank you to everyone who entered and left comments! I wish I could give each and every one of you a locket, but my pocket book just won't allow it. But because you are all my most avid readers and commenters I didn't want you to leave with nothing. So, if you would like to order something, even down the road in the future, if you entered my drawing I am giving each of you 20% off your order! :) How cool is that?!?!? So, if you ever want to order, just let me know and we will get it worked out!

Thank you again to all who read my little blog, I know it's not that interesting, but I do enjoy writing on it when I can :)

Christmas 2013 Recap

Christmas kind of snuck up on us this year. I'm not sure if it's because Thanksgiving was so late or because I was sooo busy in November or what it was, but all of a sudden, it was Christmas. I just absolutely LOVE the Christmas season!
I came home from my grandma's funeral in Michigan to my husband putting up the outside lights. He knows it makes me soo happy to have lights on our house. It was an awesome surprise!
We had to first get ready for Pretty Girl's birthday on the 15th. I still can't believe she's TWO. Where has the time gone? We had everyone over for cake and ice cream that day.
The weekend before Christmas we went with my mom to a church in Sarasota that has a HUGE light display. When I say huge, I mean H-U-G-E! Like half a million lights huge! It was awesome and the kids loved it. It was awesome! Plus it was timed to music which was fun.

We also too the kids to see Santa. He was outside of a house on the island and had fake snow going as well. There was only one group ahead of us, so the kids didn't have to wait too long. Booger ran right up and got on his lap and told him everything he wanted. It was really cute. Pretty Girl however wanted nothing to do with him. Thankfully we had M there with us and he was able to get her to at least sit on his lap. She REFUSED to talk to him. She'll talk our ears off, but no one else.

Fake snow messed up the pictures

Looks like they are talking, but they aren't :)
M and I decided to get some home projects done before we hosted our first Christmas Eve open house. He built me an awesome pantry and finished the trim around the laminate flooring we put in last year. I have to say, I am so excited about our pantry and being able to open up some of our cupboards for other dishes.

Our first Christmas Eve Open House was a success. Not everyone showed up that said they would, but that's ok. We still had a great turn out and I believe everyone had fun. I will def do it again, just I won't do house projects right before we host. That was a little too much. Thank goodness for my mom. She came over two different days and helped with the kids and helped with the baking. It was awesome having her here. We also allowed the kids to open presents from Nana and Pop-pop on Christmas eve (those are Matt's parents). I think it helped, then they weren't overwhelmed with all of the new toys.

Clean house all ready for everyone to show up :): Kids opening presents from Nana and Pop-Pop
Christmas morning, I woke up to no voice :( and I woke up before everyone else did. Our kids haven't started the getting up early on Christmas morning yet. It wasn't until about 9 until everyone finally woke up. My mom came over to open presents with us. She has spent every Christmas morning with us since M and I got together. It's a tradition that I love and refuse to change.
The kids enjoyed opening their presents from Santa. Booger knew just what to do and blew through opening up his presents. He likes to open all of them first, then play with them. Pretty Girl wants to open one present and then play with it before moving on. It's quite funny to watch them.

The rest of the day was spent watching movies and taking naps. It was a great relaxing Christmas.

Don't forget to leave a comment on my Blog-versary post to be entered into winning a medium silver locket. This will be open until Sunday.
