Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone!!!! I hope you all have a wonderful day today. We are taking the kids out with our friends and their son. Our kids are the same age, so it will be a lot of fun. Plus we are going to their neighborhood, which has sidewalks and is way safer than ours. I won't take our kids trick or treating in our neighborhood. People drive too fast. :(

The kids wanted to say Happy Halloween to everyone! (please excuse the messy house)

I thought it would be fun to look back at some of the kids Halloween costumes from the past.

Friday Letters

Well hello there Friday! How I have missed you. As we know, it's a full moon which means the kids are insane and my husband is going through his "cycle" girls you must know what I'm talking about. :) So, things are different around our house lately. But I'm still glad to have him home!

Without further ado......Here are my Friday Letters!

Dear students: I'm NOT looking forward to the influx of failing students I will be getting in a short week's time. I'm also sick of asking the same students for work. Either get it done and turn it in, or let me know you're not doing it and I'll just post your failing grade. K? Thanks!!!

Dear full moon: I do not like you, not one bit. You mess with me, my students, my kids and my husband. I'm ready for you to go away.

Dear Booger: My big boy!!!! You are now saying "I" instead of "me" like 99% of the time!!!! Huge change in your speech!!! You have also woken up to mornings in a row dry!!!! You sure are making this mama proud! You were such a big boy and helper this morning and I LOVE the little stories you make up when you are playing. Now we just have to work on you following directions at school. I love the little man you are becoming!!!!

Dear Pretty girl: You are just too darn cute! I can't help it! I love you and the little girl you are turning into. The baby is now gone and you are all toddler and sass. Hopefully you will grow out of the "no" stage soon!

Dear Friends: I am so excited for this jam packed weekend! We are having M's best friend and his wife and kids over for dinner tonight. It will be a great time. Then tomorrow we have a bunch of things planned. Hopefully on Sunday we will be able to relax. I also have book club tomorrow night! I can't wait!!! I've missed the last two and didn't want to miss this one too!

Dear Fantasy fest: I cannot wait to attend again! We are going next weekend and I KNOW it will be a blast! Plus I'm looking forward to some alone time with my hubby! Yea for vacation without my kiddos. I love my kids to death, but this mama needs a break every now and then.

Dear Origami Owl: I am so in love with my little side business! I love that I am able to make extra money for our family while spreading the O2 love. It is such an amazing company! I just posted my orders from my first party this week and was so happy with the results!!!! I also just sold another locket last night over the phone. You never know when someone is going to reach out to you. I'm so glad I took the jump and decided to do this.

Dear husband: I love you! I love how much you have been helping with the kids and around the house lately. I love the switches you installed on our bedside tables, so I no longer have to get out of bed to turn the light off! I love the motivated you! You seem so much happier since you came home. I hope the time away helped to heal some wounds.

What are you all looking forward to this weekend?
I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!!!!

It's Wednesday, so let's do a weekend recap

As we can see, I am really up on my stuff huh? It's been busy around here lately. Part of it is my fault and all of the extra stuff I keep saying yes to at work, and the other part is just life. So, let's recap the weekend. This was supposed to be my last weekend as a single parent for awhile.
I have started making the kids go to bed on their own now. Instead of me laying with them until they fall asleep (a bad habit I get into when M is gone) and Pretty Girl wasn't having it. So, she decided to fall asleep in her doorway. She did this two nights in a row, without saying a word to me.
Notice how she made sure to bring Winnie the Pooh as well as two blankets???

Saturday I had my first Jewelry Bar for Origami Owl. It was fun, but the turn out wasn't what I was expecting. I had set a minimum goal for myself and reached that, so I was pretty pleased with myself. Here is a picture of my table. From now on I'm going to use a bigger table and spread out more.

I was pretty proud of my little set up
Saturday night I went out to dinner with my mom and spent some time with her. It was nice. I love spending time with her. I'm sure my high school self wouldn't believe me, but I would much rather spend time with her than go out any day. When I was getting the kids back into the car after dinner, my passenger side rear window fell and wouldn't go back up! Go figure, the day before M was scheduled to come home, my window regulator breaks and now I'm stuck until he can fix it :( Thanks a lot Murphy!!!!

Sunday morning was spent cleaning the house and getting ready for M to come home. I like cleaning extra for when he comes home. I know I would prefer to come home to a clean house after being away for awhile. More relaxing. After my mom got home from Church and lunch with my grandma I took the kids over to swim. They love swimming and I'm sad our swimming season is almost over. But I was so very proud of Booger, who took his mask and put his face in the water, while holding his breath all on his own!!!!! This is a huge step for him!!!!

Here is a short video of it.

Later that night, after getting yummy Chinese for dinner, my mom came over to watch the kids and I drove the hour and a half up to Tampa to meet M at the airport. It was nice picking him up by myself. It made for a late night and a tired me the next day, but so worth it! He is home now and seems to be in pretty good spirits. The kids have enjoyed having him home so far. :)

I am also happy to announce that Booger has decided he is going to wear big boy undies to bed instead of a pull up. This has made quite a bit of work/laundry for me, but we are pleased to say he woke up dry Monday morning!!!!!!!! Woo hoo!!!!

I hope you all had a great weekend as well!!!!

Random Thoughts

I cannot believe it's already October. I have been so very busy lately. I have been taking a class to become a mentor. Each new teacher gets a mentor for one year. It's a nice program, plus I get paid a little extra to do it. AND I get to be in a leadership position. All very nice bonuses. So, that has been taking up quite a bit of time. Thankfully two good friends are taking the class with me. It makes it much more bearable.

This month I also have my very first Origami Owl party! I am sooooo very excited!

M also finally comes home this month! It will be nice to have him home again. I know the kids and I miss him greatly!

Booger took his first VPK assessment and he scored a perfect score!!!!! I always knew he was smart. I'm just annoyed because the lady at VPK keep trying to tell me he has a processing problem. There is NO way that is the case. He has a speech delay and THAT is it! I told her that there is no way he could have scored a perfect score on the assessment if he had a processing problem. She needs to stop trying to put a label on my son.

Booger has been learning how to build. He called for my attention tonight and this is what I saw:

He was so very proud of himself. I am very proud of him too! He takes after his daddy. I have to add that no one helped him build his little tower. He is also quite obsessed with the Harry Potter movies. If he behaves and gets a good report from preschool, we will watch a movie at night as a family. He loves this and it seems like a good motivation for him to behave and do what is expected.

I am so very obsessed with Goldfish S'mores! Oh how yummy they are!!!! If you haven't tried them and you like s'mores, then you have to try them!!!!

Oh! This month also marks our 2nd trip to Fantasy Fest! I cannot wait! A weekend away with my husband! Our costumes arrived this week too! I'm super excited!!!!

I think that is it. Sorry for the randomness, but that's the way my mind works lately. Lots of random thoughts just bouncing around.

I hope you all had a great Friday!!! I'm off to catch up on my shows on the DVR. I think I have some Gilmore Girls waiting for me :) Night all!!!!
